Join us for a relaxed and inspiring photo walk through the heart of Brussels. Led by experienced photographer Sonia Simbolo, this workshop is all about exploring the city’s hidden beauty and learning to capture it in your own unique way.

As we wander, Sonia will share practical tips—from spotting intriguing subjects and compositions to mastering camera settings. You’ll have plenty of time to experiment with angles, lighting, and perspectives, and ask questions along the way. Whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, this is a chance to refine your skills, connect with fellow photography enthusiasts, and see Brussels in a whole new light.

Sonia Simbolo (Rome, 1985) is an Italian freelance photographer working in events and portraiture. In 2022, while searching for a more original visual approach for her assignments, she unexpectedly discovered street photography and soon developed a deep passion for it.

Her work has received recognition in several international contests, including Siena Awards, Women Street Photographers, Dublin Street Photography Festival, Oslo Street Photo Festival, FotoSlovo Awards, Annual Photography Awards and Paris Street Photo Awards. Her photographs have been featured and she has been interviewed by The Street Rover, Collater.al, and FIAF.

She has held two solo exhibitions and participated in international group shows. For two years she led a photography workshop for young people with psychiatric disorders at the day center La Fabbrica dei Sogni, and she currently teaches basic photography at the cultural association L’Isola dell’Arte.
She is among the curators of the international platform Street Avengers and collaborates with the project Fotografar Palavras.
