Throughout the decades, photographer Céline Pannetier watched how new technologies generated new ways of creating. The rise of digital photography, Photoshop and social networks not only transformed her work, but also significantly expanded her audience reach. Pannetier became fascinated by technology.
A still-young technology called blockchain opened up anew range of wild possibilities, including this strange thing called NFT. Pannetier’s curiosity was triggered, and excited by these new horizons she set out to see what NFTs could mean for her as an artist in terms of sales, authenticity, royalties, etc.
A year and a half after her very first steps inside the world of NFT, Pannetier is eager to share her own experiences. Around her, she still sees many artists ignorant about these non-fungible tokens.
Céline Pannetier will tell you the ABCs of NFTs. The lecture will not discuss the technical side of it, as well as address financial advice. Pannetier will tell you her story of trial and error, excitement, success, failure, lessons learned, and knowledge gained.
Céline is a French photographer based in Barcelona. Her body of work is primarily street photography and documentary. Until Covid her only thing was “candid” and un-staged photography, but the confinement made her start creating colorful compositions with food. Adopting different lenses, composing, controlling the frame and the products, lights and reflectors… She enjoys the fine balance that allows her to move regularly from street photography, to candid mode, to highly staged food photography sets.
