Rose Vandepitte
Rose Vandepitte is a Belgian photographer living in Brussels. Very early on she developed an interest in photography, more precisely documentary and travel photography. In the late ‘70s and the first half of the '80s, she traveled through Asia and spends two years in Latin America. Back in Belgium, her interest for photography was further stimulated when she worked for Ilford Photo. In the early 2000s she took photography classes at the art academy in Brussels. Later, she joined workshops abroad with Maciej Dakowicz and Nikos Economopoulos and got more involved in street photography.
She is fascinated by the city, its people and its dynamics. In the chaos of the streets, she looks for those little moments of everyday life that move her.
She has participated in various group exhibitions at home and abroad. She was a finalist of the Miami Street Photography Festival (2020, 2022) and took part in Women Street Photographers exhibitions in New York (2020, 2022), Kuala Lumpur (2020, 2021), Trieste (2020), Chelyabinsk (2020), Hyderabad (2022) and Editor’s Pick of the LensCulture Street Photography Awards (2022)
