The guest exhibition showcases work by the many renowned photographers that visit the BSPF giving talks, workshops, panel discussions, feedback, photo walks or as a jury member for the competitions.
You’ll be able to view excerpts from prize winning series, like the controversial 'Bosfights’ by Sebastian Steveniers, documenting football hooligans free fighting in remote forests. Another captivating series that will feature in the exhibition is ‘Allfather’ by Sébastien Van Malleghem won ‘best photography book of the year’, awarded by Belgian newspaper De Tijd.
The exhibition will further include photographs from ‘Born Free’ by Ilvy Njiokiktjien. The series is a decade long project documenting post-apartheid South Africa. Russian photographer Mary Gelman will showcase work from her series ‘M+T’, which documents the love of a couple withDown syndrome in Russia.
Jan Rosseel is bringing images of a new series he is working on, ‘Prosthetics of Fear’. Valentina Stellino will show pictures out of her series ‘CUT’, in which she captured and sometimes re-enacted seemingly banal moments in a cinematic way.
The exhibition concludes with works by street photographers Céline Pannetier, Christophe Chailloux, Dani Oshi, Maude Bardet, Merlin Meuris, Nicolas Petit, Rose Vandepitte & Vincent Peal.
