To make this site work properly, we sometimes place small data files called cookies on your device.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.

How do we use cookies?

Our website uses WordPress. For very specific cases you may have to login to our website. Once you login to our website, we store the following information:

  • – Your user name.
  • – A double-hashed copy of your password.
  • – We do not use 3rd Party / Tracking / Advertising cookies.
  • – After login, wordpress sets the wordpress_logged_in_[hash] cookie, which indicates when you’re logged in, and who you are, for most interface use.
  • – WordPress also sets a few wp-settings-{time}-[UID] cookies. The number on the end is your individual user ID from the users database table. This is used to customize your view of admin interface, and possibly also the main site interface.

The cookies are set to expire two weeks from the time they are set.

Please notice that in order to apply to the Brussels Street Photography contests and/or workshops you do not need to login to our website.

How to control cookies

You can control and/or delete cookies as you wish – for details, see aboutcookies.org. You can delete all cookies that are already on your computer and you can set most browsers to prevent them from being placed. If you do this, however, you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit a site and some services and functionalities may not work.
